National Tsing Hua University

NTHU was first founded in Beijing. After the Kuomintang retreated to Taiwan in 1949 following defeat by the Communist Party of China in the Chinese Civil War, NTHU was re-established in Hsinchu City in 1956.

Today, both Tsinghua universities have deep mutual cooperation, including an establishment of Tsinghua Strait Research Institute, dual degree program, MOOC program, and academic exchange program.

National Chiao Tung University

NCTU is a public research university located in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Established in 1896 as Nanyang Public School by an imperial edict of the Guangxu Emperor, it is one of Taiwan's leading universities.

After the Chinese Civil War, NCTU was re-established by former Chiao Tung University faculty and alumni in 1958. It is selected by Taiwan's Ministry of Education to pursue all-around excellence with "versatile international competitiveness to continuously strengthen international academic influence and visibility".

National Cheng Kung University

As a top university in Taiwan, NCKU has played a vital role in creating the Taiwan Miracle by helping Taiwan to transform from an agriculture-based society to an industrialized economy during the 1960s and 1970s.

To this day, NCKU has many successful alumni in various industries in Taiwan. According to Linkedin data, many of its graduates work in companies including TSMC, MediaTek, UMC, Applied Materials, and more.
